    Mexican Americans aren't too familiar with Alvarez. He's pretty much a house hold name in Mexico, though. All of his fights are televised.

      nah he isnt televisa hypes him like the second coming of jesus but most ppl dont know him
      chavez jr and morales, arce from the top of my head are bigger names

        Hes real popular In Mexico when i was out there to visit my family my cousins talked about him. His last fight in Mexico i got to see it on tv when i was there but hes getting a buzz out here in the U.S. but we gotta wait on May 1 to see what hes about .

          Are you sure? I have family in Monterrey, Matamoros and in Sinaloa and they all know who Alvarez is. I think more people know Chavez Jr., but he isn't LIKED.

            well i only talk boxing with the people in my gym and they dont talk that much about canelo, i mean there was a lot more buzz about arce or when jmm was gonna challenge mayweather
