Dawson has no fan base and Hopkins isn't a big draw himself at this point.

Hopkins-Dawson would be on HBO and they would have to split a pot of $3 million.

What I would like to know is how much money HBO would put up for Hopkins-Bute in Canada and compare that to how much he could get against Dawson.

He was a bigger draw then now that's for sure, and one of the top names in boxing. Take away the elite sellers - oscar, mayweather, pacquiao, trinidad and maybe another guy or two and hopkins right up there.

In boxing, there aren't many people at all that are PPV attractions, sadly.
