He'd be a star. But then he'd retire afterwards. He's too old, even if he is talented.

You could argue Big george was more famous as an old man than a young man. the young man was more feared but the old man showed heart and won everybody over and was able to use his re-found fame from that into the grill etc. People liked the old man better than the young man in his case it seems.

Yeah, he can be a star for 2-3 years.

But he had history. He was a great fighter before he left, and was a big story and a "nice guy" when he came back. People loved to root for the old man.

With a 8 week training camp, I'd pick him over Williams, at least at 154, maybe 160 depending on how he looks vs Pavlik. But if he beats Pavlik and Williams in a rematch, he should just retire unless he could fight Floyd. Wins over Pavlik and Williams would put him at the top, and their is really no way he could ascend any higher. He'd be better off fight Felix Strum or a 154 titlist than Marg, unless a Marg fight was a kind of pride match for one last payday.

He still has at least another 2-3 more good years left in him. Makes no sense for him to retire when he's on top because he can more money by giving those guys rematches if he wins or fight other guys like Margacheato.

I guess. Taking a few big paydays after receiving more exposure can't hurt. But he should be aware that he's approaching RJJ age, for what that's worth. If he does beat Pavlik and Williams then I think he should maybe fight Marg to see if he could possibly have some crossover appeal with the Mexican American base, then push hard for a big Floyd payday if he could get it. And if he couldn't, they are always other 154-160 titlist to fight.

If he can dominate Pavlik he will be on his way.

Not speaking english is one strike against him. But he is one of the more entertaining slick boxer's.
