I just saw it and it was pretty interesting.
Here are some observations.
Gatti's situation seems murky to me. Only because it seems odd to hang yourself w/ a purse string.
But the thing that jumped out at me the most was the unbelievably poor judgment Gatti showed in the last years of his life.
A. He married a stripper? I could see someone being dumb enough to do that in their early 20's when you don't know no better, but Gatti did it in his late 30's.
Inexcusable imo.
B. The place he went on vacation seemed like a total dump. Looked like Brazil's equivalent of Tijuana. Going down there is asking for trouble.
The Vernon Forrest part was really sad, but more or less straightforward stuff we already know.
Vernon went out like a pure warrior and I'll always respect him for going after that scum.
Arguello's was also extremely sad, especially given the two major betrayals he suffered at the hands of the Sandinista trash.
I won't spoil much else, but it was very good stuff from the HBO Real Sports crew.
Highly recommended.
