Pavlik shouldn't get any credit for beating Martinez because this is only his second fight at 160, he used to fight at 147 and has displayed a leaky defense and suspect stamina.

Yes, he shouldn't get any credit for beating a guy who just took part in one of the best fights of 2009. A fight that was against a consensus top 10 P4P guy, one of the most avoided in the sport and contested at the 160 limit. Not to mention the fact he looked bloody good (physically) at the weight and only had 6 weeks max to train.

          I agree with this.

However for pavlik's career at this point in time, a win over martinez is GREAT for him. It's an absolute must win over a solid opponent. No rubio's or gary lockets lol

              It's a decent win.

A loss would be disasterous, great for Sergio though

Paul Williams was the man for Pavlik to beat. He's fighting the guy who fought against Williams at 160 in a fight that could have gone either way. I think it's a pretty good win for Pavlik.

in that case damn near every boxer is flawed so then no one would get credit for beating anyone....then again this is boxingscene where every saturday someone gets exposed or was overratedd....
