Mike hasnt been promising in years, I know he is faded and wont achieve anything. Being a realist I mean Mike will be 39 years old this month and hasnt done anything credible arguably since 1988 and it is now 2005? Almost 20 years has past and people still think he will break the shell he is in and arrive as his young self. Tyson was a force to be reckoned with but come on almost 20 years has gone by it is time to let it go. Lets remember Tyson for what he has done and leave it at that. All the hope in the world wont put Mike Tyson back on the map, especially looking at his age. I mean at 39 that is a time to hang them up and move on.

1.)Foreman won the heavyweight title at 45
2.)Tyson is still the man as far as entertainment gos
3.)He did win the titles in 1996

I respect your loyalty but Foreman actually trained and had taken it seriously and fought the bums of the month to prepare himself and actually accomplished something. Mike isnt motivated. Entertainment means 0 when you are not winning against name opponents.

However, I do respect your loyalty. Mike WAS a phenom and his better days are behind him.

Jinx, honestly I understand where your coming from I don't think Tyson will ever be the undisputed champion again. All I want is for him to win some fights and make some money for him and family. I do however think he has chance to pick one belt up, as a Tyson fan I just wish the best for Mike. I just hope there is a good ending to this story, although it seems unlikely. I will continue to watch Tyson until he retires, he is one of my all time favorites.

Ohh I hope Tyson does fairly well and gets to fight another top opponent again, We all know Tyson can do well against his level of opponents. But at 39 I want to see where he stands and how he fares against a real top fighter. I would love to see Tyson move on and get a fight with one of the top champions again. Mike deserves one last glory shot but if he cant prevail then he should hang them up.

On a side note, Mike cant be all that broke he put a DOWN PAYMENT of 420k on a house in Arizona.

Yes the good news is that Mike is collecting 6 million for his fight with Mcbride (anyone know what Kevin is getting?) and that he is also almost of debt.

good news for the former champ, lets hope he doesnt get hungry and digs his way back into his old spending habits. I hope since he has been broke he realizes the true value of money.
