A letter from a representative of WBC super lightweight champion Devon Alexander to the WBC reportedly upset WBC President Jose Sulaiman so much that Sulaiman asked Alexander to immediately resign the WBC belt.
Alexander responded that he’s proud to serve as WBC champion and that “…an attorney sent you a letter supposedly on my behalf. Please know, Mr. Sulaiman, that this letter and its contents were wholly unauthorized by me. I am sorry that you had to read it.”
Sulaiman responded “…My dear champion, I know that at your young age you have formidable future and the World Boxing Council will be in your corner forever. Your friend always, Jose Sulaiman Ch
