Floyd is a more regimented slick fighter though. He doesn't just depend on athleticism like roy, or sweat pea. He has techniques that will stand the test of time.

He'll be goin strong into his late 30's, mark me

what's this a start of an excuse if and when he loses to shane? i dont know what you dudes saw but the whole boxing world saw a masterful perfomance, just read all the articles from boxing analyst, experts, trainers. never even saw one article that said anything about him slowing down or ring rust. what i noticed was he wasnt as offensively minded than when he was 4yrs ago, he coud've taken jmm out if he'd wanted to.

elusiveness wise, Floyd has never looked better. He got hit, what? 3 times flush the whole fight against JMM? He lost some on offense though since the good old days, I'll say that.
thank you--i don't know what fight they were watching--jmm landed 12% of his shots against a guy who threw half less and came off of a 21 month layoff---floyd look superb in that fight--he landed over 50% of his shots and made jmm slip and lose his balance like 4 times---rounds 4 and 5----floyd toyed with jmm---he got hit some, but he's been hit at every weight he's fought at---did chavez not hit floyd? did oscar not hit floyd---he isn't invincible--he can be hit, but he was rarely hit flush by a great counter punchher---i mean, remember round 6, where he landed a counter right and dipped a counter hook jmm threw at him after being hit--it was at the beginning of the round---no fighter in boxing can do that and make it look so easy--floyd's defense is at an all time high and he once again showed it in the jmm fight--the thing with floyd is that he's so versatile with his defense that he it looks like he's slipping when in reality he's showing different elements of it----like in round 10, where he stood still and looked like james toney when he avoided juan's punches, moving his head and upperbody in a slower motion while jmm tired himself out trying to land on floyd---

shane's defense is the one suspect--people on here are being fooled by how good shane looks in training---which he does---i'm no fool though---i know how floyd will make shane look os bad in the fight and dominate the kid--i'm telling you---floyd's reflexes have not changed---he has lost some speed in his punches and lost some power a bit, but his defense is still fast as ever---

remember round 4 of the jmm fight, where floyd avoided jmm's combo completely, and made jmm lose his balance almost falling into the ropes---floyd's ability to move his upperbody is something beautiful---he made jmm lose his balance 2 times in that round and the best one was when he avoided the combo almost at the end of the round---

people say floyd has slipped--but he hasn't with hi defense---he just fights at a measured pace, and turns it up when he wants---he's never not in control of the fight--even when he's on the defense--that's why he's so dominate and will make shane look so ****** come may 1st, then manny is hit----i can't to watch the fight and see how many people are shocked as to how floyd looks---he will look so sharp and his power will be great also--i bet you---he's chopping trees and running in boots n0w---he will be strong as hell in the fight---

this fight is a mismatch and that's not taking anything away from shane--flloyd is too elusive and shane fights too stiff---you have to be elusive to compete with floyd---shane fights with too much intensity----and he still has a tendency to close his eyes when he throws his punches----bad idea when fighting floyd---

I am not to worried about Floyd's defense, I don't think he has the legs he once had but I think he is more efficent with his movement.

I didn't see that at all. What I did notice was that Mayweather's straight right hand wasn't as accurate as I'm used to seeing.
