Why the hell does he need a tune up fight??.. All his fights were tune up fights since he beat vic the 1st time. This guy has fought no one but vic.

Well said! I've been thinking the same thing, ever since I heard of this need for a tuneup fight. For the talk of being pound-for-pound, I wonder if Donaire might be overhyped based on one win. I'm not 100% convinced that it wasn't a fluke win, given the dearth of top opposition since then. He may be that good, but he hasn't gotten a chance to prove it. I keep waiting for Donaire to take on the top of the 115 lb division or 118 lb division. Top Rank has squandered this guy's momentum. A Darchinyan rematch is a long-overdue return to top competition.

theres nothing wrong with getting more work in and staying sharp before the rematch. his recent fights are irrelevant.
the rematch will happen and it'll be the same result as the first fight.

I have no doubt that this will be the same result.. Vic is always open to shots espeacially the left hook. Donaire has a very fast and powerful left hook and i bet thats the shot thay will KO Vic agian... But after this win Vic will still be his only name opponent.

Maybe it's because NO ONE wants to fight him. He's been calling out the Jap Champions to unify the belts, no one answered. It's not like he's been trying... the dude is suffering the same thing Paul Williams/ and Caballero are going through.

For the record, Glasschinyan got knocked out in the 5th round, not the 7th round. And yes, I believe he is still wide open to eat left hands and the result will be the same. Bring it on...
