  • Hatton Revelation.

One thing that every1 seems to have conveniently missed about the Hatton fight was that Kostya Tszyu threw the first illegal shot. I dont care where it landed, it was an illegal shot and it put Hatton down.

Now i heard some1 saying that Tszyu threw 3 according to the stats and how many times was he punished? None of the times.

So all u haters going on about equality in the sport, do u think it would be equality to punish Hatton for throwing less illegal blows, especially when Tszyu done it first and didnt get punished for any of the ones he did.

As i have said before do u think that his corner really quit him because he was suffering "so badly" from the illegal blows or was it cos his face was starting to look like a balloon? Id say the latter.

Thanks for taking the time to receive a reality check and realise some facts that (by the sounds of it) none of u were aware of.

actually hatton was hitting tyzsu behind the head during the clinch before that 6th round 'low-blow call'. hatton was spinning tyzu as well and he hit him repeatedly. watch the tape. i've watched it several times now. but i doubt the ref was going to deduct points (he's crazy to do that in manchester...lol j/k).

when koysta hit him in the 6th round it wasn't as dangerous as the shot that hatton gave him...which was right on the 'money'. hatton fell and got right back up from the 6th round blow. koysta seemed to be in real pain.

tyzu quit cuz he had no answer for hattons smothering attack. hatton explained at the end of the fight that koysta's optimum powwer is that the end of the punches and his job was to stay inside of it. it was a great stategy, and if anyone had the balls to try it...it was hatton.

Hatton proved that he belongs in the ring with the top guys in the division. Both fighters looked pretty rough in this fight because of all the dirty tactics. My only concern about Hatton is that even though he won, Tszyu fought somewhat lifelessly and looked his age and IMO a few fighters could have schooled him that night. Let's just wait and see what happens in his next couple of fights before we act like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

well Tszyu did hit him with the first "low blow" but Hatton..turned around and almost murdered Tszyu..with his low blow..which was on purpose..cant really see if Kostya did the first one..on purpose.which i dont think he did

Bottom line is a low blow is a low blow. They dont deduct points based on the purposefulness of it. They both didnt have intent i suspect and if they did i think Tszyu would have said something after the fight.

To me it seemed that Hatton kind of leaped in when Tszyu threw the punch that caused it to be low even though it hit high on the beltline. To me that punch could of gone either way. It could of been ruled a knockdown or a low blow. The one Hatton threw was no doubt a low blow and there is a difference between the two. Tszyu didn't intentionally throw the low blow while Hatton's was no doubt intentional. I don't think it made a difference though because Hatton was starting to really come on at that time.
