Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell are really good friends and were on the olympic team together.

Andre Ward, Would he throw the fight against dirrell in round 3, so dirrell can stay in the tournament???

Could be a good $$$ bet on dirrell as he would be the underdog in round 3 vs ward.

Absolutely not a chance in hell. Ward has said for years now his goal is to retire undefeated, that is a serious goal of his, there is no way he'd give that up just so his friend could advance to the next round.

If you've ever heard Ward talk, he talks about going undefeated A LOT.

by the way who is the asian chick in your avatar? I've always wanted to know

I don't think so. Ward doesn't seem like that type. He seems to hungry for that, and has not lost since he was like 12 years old in the amatuers.

They also made a deal to forget there friendship for one night, and give it all they have.

I wonder if you the Super 6 rules would allow for Ward to in essence forfeit the fight giving Dirrell automatic points.

They may be friends, but this is a business. How does Ward taking an L for his friend, benefit his family?

Naw Ward needs to feed his family. Losing fights on purpose doesnt do that.

Why does everyone assume he will be the only with 2 points at the end of stage 3? And if he is not nobody knows the tie-break mechanism that wasn't officially announced
