It is some what of an impressive feet to be undefeated, but then again it gives people question marks about how protected they were. I mean yes, fighters like Mayweather Jr and Calzaghe are undoubtly good fighters we can see that by the boxing skills they display in the ring.

And both have shut up critics multiple times when like Calzaghe beat undefeated fighters like Lacy and Kessler and also has good wins over Bika, Eubank, Prime-Sheika, Mitchell, Prime-Reid, Woodhall. And Mayweather Jr. beat fighters like Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, Oscar, Judah.

All undefeated fighters have question marks, and rightfully so.

Based on skill, the only guy is Mayweather. The guy is the best boxer skill-wise, hands down. I think he's the only guy I can say that about. Calzaghe, nope. He fought Hopkins and Jones when they were already past prime or shot and Sven Ottke fought nobodies. Ricardo Lopez, I can't say because I never watched any of his fights. I can't say with Rocky Marciano but I heard from some boxing historians that he was given some gift decisions.

I second that. Pretty much what everyone thinks. Only a few will admit it though.

Most fighters that have not lost have been carefull, but it could be considered wise career moves and business decisions. Often fighters that will face anyone and everyone will have lost one along the way and often they learn more from that one loss than 10 carefully picked wins.

The best undefeated fighter is Floyd Mayweather.

Hes a better fighter then Lopez, Calzaghe, and Marciano.

Time will tell where hes ranked.

If he rolls Shane and Pac. His resume is without fault.

I think some are as good as their 0 says, but at the same time some fighters do have question marks.

The best way to tell is by going on boxrec and checking who these undefeated fighters have been winning against. If these wins are against world class fighters or fighters with good records then, yes, we can say they deserve the status of undefeated. But, if they are fighting guys with 3-17 records and they are 40-0 then the undefeated record don't mean s***.

Were would you rank him (atg) if he beats them 2?

Or if he beats them 2 + faces (doesn't even have to beat) the MW champ Martinez, Pavlik, Williams or whoever it is at the time..

If they have fought top fighters since the late 1990's and been p4p ranked since not too long after (Floyd), I don't see why they should have so much ?? about their resumes

But if they didn't really fight many big names for a long time, and were well protected (Calzaghe) I can see why they are questioned.
