Comments Thread For: Jorge Arce is Focused on Beating Cecilio Santos

WBO super flyweight champion Jorge Arce is not looking past his April 24 opponent, Cecilio "Boga" Santos. Arce defends his title at the Centro de Usos Multiples in Ciudad Obregón, SON, Mexico. Arce (53-6-1, 40 KOs) already has a big fight lined up for June 26. He will move up in weight to challenge WBO interim-bantamweight champion Eric Morel on the undercard to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr-John Duddy at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. To get there has has to beat Santos (24-13-3, 14 KOs), a heavy underdog in the fight. [Click Here To Read More]

This article is effed up. Acre is not defending against Santos. It's a 10-rounder. Santos has lost four of his last five by KO. Even by the crappy standards of the alphabet governing bodies that's too crappy of a record to warrant a title shot

Santos was a tough fighter once, but that was a long time ago and he has recieved too many beatings the last few years to be thrown a big fight.
