maybe, but when you're shot, you're shot and there isn't anything anyone could do about it. not even black tom jones, so if that was the case this attempt by him would be futile, and a waste of time.

This is exactly the type of no nonsense approach Cotto needs to get back to the top of the heap. Steward's comments were pointed and accurate but from listening to Steward for so many years commentate he does love to exxagerate almost as much as a woman. To me what it says is that Cotto should be able to make a lot of improvements form some very simple adjustments. E.S's only concerns seemed to be having enough time to implement the adjustments. I have to think Cotto will be inspired to impress the legendary trainer and that in itself will provide a huge boost for this fight.

Cotto aint shot he just couldnt beat the best fighter on the planet. I would challenge any on here to name more than 3 guys that could beat Pac at 147.

I'd love for Cotto to have a Shane Mosley type of revival but I'm afraid he's taken too much punishment and lacks the chin Mosley has.

Manny does know just about everything. At least about the subject at hand.

Steward is correct in that. It happened when Miguel went up to 147lbs and fought Judah. His style completely changed from that point on. He was more of a seek and destroy tank. At 140lbs he was more measured and patient. It was a big difference actually I remember in style when he fought Judah compared to what I was so used to watching. I think if he goes back to his old ways, it will benefit him greatly.

This. IMO this is a common thread I see amongst PR fighters. The trainers here IMO are not as good as world class trainers like Nazeem, Roach and Steward.

Our fighters should avoid trying to be "loyal" to their childhood trainers and hire the worlds best.

Sadly I don't see this being the case any time soon.

That is a bad sign for this partnership.
