While it's true Cotto has a ton of fundamental flaws, I don't think the correct way to go about beating Foreman is to change directions, use a lot of movement, and box. He needs to go back to being the pressure fighter in this fight, although that isn't to say he can't be fine tuned and shown new tricks defensively and positioning-wise when coming forward.

Sterward should stick to commentating now because he is very good at it. He hasn't improved any fighters for a long time now.

If you teach the him the same basics he used when he was a "good boxer" he can probably relearn or "remember" them.

What is it that he said that isn't accurate? He's training Cotto and like many of us have watched his career from early on, so being he's an actual trainer and has trained numerous champs, I think he'd see things a lot clearer than most of us who will just run to call Cotto "shot" instead of picking what he has or hasn't done to give one that opinion.

This could be a good or bad thing for Cotto depending on how he approaches the training.

His fight with Margarito took a lot out of him.

                    Kind of like you?

I hope Cotto gets his **** together, cause I got nothing but respect d
for him. But it's obvious, he hasn't had the best training in recent years.

Work on his right hand, get him to close his guard a little more, keep his head up but chin low (He's been eating too many uppercuts). Also get him to clinch more; he needs to clinch. Clinching alone would have won him the fight against Margarito. If Steward can work on all this, Cotto could be a serious force. Then again, I'm still worried about Cotto's durability; obviously it's not gonna be the same.
