NAAZIM RICHARDSON: "I LAID THE DIAGRAM DOWN OF WHAT WE WANT TO DO"

"I've been in touch and I laid the diagram down of what we want to do before I left. So far, there has been no glitches. He's in really good shape as far as he goes," were the words of head trainer Naazim Richardson as he spoke about Shane Mosley's preparations during training camp for his upcoming bout with Floyd Mayweather. Recently, Richardson spent time in Las Vegas guiding Bernard Hopkins to an uneventful unanimous decision over Roy Jones Jr. Immediately following that victory, Richardson returned to Big Bear, California to resume training with Shane.
"This time was a little confusing because we had Steve Cunningham getting ready for a world title and we had Bernard Hopkins getting ready to defend his title, so it was a little difficult, but it worked itself out," Richardson added, speaking about the difficulties of training several world-class fighters all at the same time. "Whatever Allah has for me, I will accept it and do my best at it. Whatever God puts in front of me, I will accept it. I deal with it the best way that I can." Whether or not those difficulties will play a role in what will be Shane Mosley's most difficult challenge remains to be seen, but with May 1 right around the corner, it won't be long before we find out.
