As has been stated on my show Pac vs Berto probably wont happen because Al Haymon manages Berto the same manager as Floyd Money and if that was to be proposed they would need to ask for the testing to be done. Unless Berto is going to come out of his face and state F the testing....It would huckle buck Floyd and Al Haymon would betray him to some extent I guess is what the Floyd fans were saying on my show. I think money is money and when it comes to making 10 million for one fighter it shouldn't matter what the other fighter and his team requested. If Berto is willing to be satisfied with the usual testing and take his crack at Manny and the big purse then so be it and Al Haymon and Money should not stand in his way....Lefty

Berto isn't getting any better. He was ready in line to fight Mosley.

Well what you mean is that is as good as he is going to get but doesn't necessarily mean he is ready or will ever be.

Maybe he should just wait around for all of the checks to be cashed and SSM, Floyd, and Pac to retire......then he can be the man by default.

if Shane wins, then it opens the door wide open IMO....what's Haymon gonna do? keep Berto from cashing in til Floyd get's first dibs?

the only roadblock from this is Arum...he hates Haymon and is probably angling for a Margarito-PAC fight...which i wouldnt mind watching either


so basically, IF Shane pulls off the upset and Margarito looks like utter **** in his comeback fight, i think we see Berto being a viable option

Or if more fighters stuck to that notion than who is PAC going to fight? How many lgeit WW does Arum have left in his stable? Besides Margs who is not even reinstated who else can he fight that the public would want to see him fight. I am simply making a post based on what was discussed on the show last Thursday. all those things make sense. berto is at his peak imho and its only down hill from here. he doesn't really have any real skills to rely on. he's just an athletic juggernaut. so he might as well throw his hat in and give it a try.

Haymon isn't the only guy that has Berto's ears. Berto also has his own aspirations and goals. Berto's world doesn't revolve around haymon and floyd, like it does *****s.

I agree with you If Shane pulls off an upset the rematch will be on for later this year. That locks up Mosley and Money untill 2011. If Margs looks good then we will probably see Margs vs PAC later on in the year. Berto can take on Cotto that would be the best scenario would three or 4 good fights all around plus Money would lose his 0!....Lefty
