Has anyone else noticed this about Paul Williams?

Both times he's been given hell (first Quintana fight, Martinez fight) its been against a late replacement and he wasn't able to train properly? And both times he had to switch from training for a orthodox fighter to a south paw out of nowhere. A lot of people don't realize how challenging that is.

But look at what happened when he trained a full camp for Quintana. I think he'd dominate Martinez if they met again. Definitely not a first round KO, but a dominant performance and maybe a late TKO because of Martinez's .

Martinez and Quint is an apples to oranges comparison but I see your point. I do think he would come close to dominating that fight if they got it on again.

      Yes that is true.

Q and Martinez were late replacements.

Martinez is a tough customer but Williams closed strong that bout. Actually, over the last 8 rounds he was in control for a lot of them. Still, a rematch is necessary...if Martinez were to get by Pavlik. That's an enormous if.

Normally I'd root for Pavlik, but I'm rooting for Martinez just so we can see that rematch.
