Pro boxers are not under any Olympic standards. So it is kind of pointless to use them as examples.

To show how the test work, sure! For the Floyd/Pac situation, no.
No one was under Olympic standards until sports in the 2000 really started to implement it. Its all a matter of time but some form of this will be implemented in all sports.

well there is no relevent examples. boxing is soooo different from any other sport. the national sports like the nba, nhl, mlb etc. are nothing like boxing. the olympics is closer and so are things like tennis and cycling. those are all international sports with governing bodies as well but their bodies are much stricter and much more organized than the weak **** that boxing gets away with.

but really there aint much close to to boxing in organization. breaks every mold.

Boxing has yet to do so. That is my point. Thanks for helping.

That just furthers my point that using Olympic athletes examples, isn't really a good idea.

That is the reason I said I didn't know about tennis. I couldn't remember if they had a part in the Olympic.

There is a difference though. You know that. They are not good examples for this situation (Pac/Floyd being the situation).

Athletes that partake in the games HAVE TO do the test.
I know this, but having to do or not do the test... has nothing to do with people trying to say it will have some huge affect on you, those are different arguments.

              I don't know about tennis (Williams sisters/Federer)

But the rest of the folks that you named were in the olympic games. So they had to go through that.

Floyd, Shane, and Pac are not taking part in any olympic games. I feel what you are saying, but there is a difference.
When you make the national team, you are required to participate. For example, kobe and LeBron are on USA basketball. So they are subject to out-of-competition testing. As part of USA basketball you play other tournament between Olympic years. For example, the Americas tournament and World Championships.

When they go to the Olympics, WADA takes over.

              Nice try, though.

I was responding to you using Olympic athletes as examples.

I didn't say that. To this point though, they haven't. That is all i'm saying. I think they should.

That is here nor there though.
