I'm not doubting that Floyd earned $30 million for the Marquez fight but Floyd's guaranteed purse was only $10 million not $15 million. The IRS then got $5.6 million out of that $10 million. This means that Floyd must have had a huge PPV percentage cut compared to Marquez.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. agreed to pay $5.6 million in back taxes before the Internal Revenue Service was poised to take the money from his purse after his Saturday fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.
Sounds about right. His share, plus PPV and live gate percentages, and Oscar broke him off a big piece of change to handle his taxes before the event, right?
he signed a reebok deal before the fight i dont know how much that was worth. anybody?
I thought he said during NBA all star weekend that he doesn't have a contract with any shoe company? That's during the tirade when he said that he knew that Manny only made $70,000 from his contract with Nike.
