I'm glad someone else on this board remembered Arthur Mercante. He was one of the "faces of the sport" for decades. Arthur was the third man in a reported 145 world title bouts, including the first Ali-Frazier fight. He was a real professional and, by all accounts, a real gentleman, as well. Rest in peace, Mr. Mercante.
