Clottey needs to change his style up big time, he honestly needs to let his hands go more often. Even he is worried about being countered then he needs to learn to be a bit slicker like Money Mayweather. I don't really understand this shell defense he has, its not good enough to beat top WW's. The only fighter I know that had the best results with it was Winky Wright.

Berto vs Clintron/Williams winner, or Foreman/Cotto winner.. That would be sick IMO.

And Clottey can't win by KO because he doesn't have the power to KO top WW's.
berto doesnt know how to do that. nor do i think he'd be able to pull it off since he's such a spaz. he commits to every single power punch, which, combined with his wrestling is the reason i think he fights in spurts. hes like a cheetah. he uses a bunch of energy in short bursts then has to hold even more to recover.
clottey DOESNT commit to all his punches, fires sharp accurate shots and doesnt even hold on the inside. berto would be steady eating short uppercuts and left hooks on the inside.

he wouldnt have to change up his whole style for berto though since berto is not a volume puncher.

clottey may not be a one punch ko guy but he does have thudding power and with a guy like berto who doesnt have great stamina or a great chin i think clottey busts him up bad and a stoppage in my opinion isnt out of the question if clottey throws enough punches

that's the rumor. manny steward made sure to mention that a couple of times during the fight.
i do however think he was genuinely hurt from that short shot behind the ear in the first.

Naw.. Theres a reason it's illegal to hit back there. It shuts you off. I think it just shut him down for a spit second. He showed no signs of being hurt when he got up.

Isn't that consider a rabbit-punch since its behind the ear?
