I like the comparison to Taylor. Berto has more talent, Taylor is tougher, as soon as he gets stopped by a capable opponent it'll be downhill from there.

Lets look at his fighting potential. This guy has been struggling with subpar competition & has been knocked down by subpar competition. Just look at this fight, he gets knocked down by Quintana but since he is a HBO al haymon protected fighter, he gets protected by the corrupt system.

Every step up from competition he has struggled. Instead of acing every next step he just barely gets by. He gets knocked down by a 10 loss cosme rivera, struggles vs luis collazo, & now gets LEGITIMATELY knocked down by carlos quintana.

Ive never seen a fighter b*tch & moan as much as berto did tonight. He keeps on complaining about getting hit in the back of the head when in actuality those were clean shots to the SIDE OF THE HEAD.

Neither HBO said which family members died. Very su****ious. Looking at all the Haiti footage, berto is smiling & in good spirits instead of feeling like 8 family members have died. I doubt any immediate family members died. I bet it was just some friends or i doubt anybody he knew or family members of his died at all.

All hbo showed was his sister & his sister's child. Very su****ious.

I just find it odd that when the pacquiao mayweather fights is canceled, floyd struggles to find a opponent berto cancels because he's not up to it, but somehow fights quintana a couple of weeks before shane fights mayweather.

This is an orchestrated maneuver by HBO & the powers that be to please everybody. Shane & Floyd get a mega fight, pacquiao has clottey, berto gets fed quintana, & everybody has an out. Pacquiao beats clottey as everybody predicted & waits for Shane vs Floyd winner. If there is a rematch with shane & floyd it happens. In comes Andre Berto as a keep busy opponent for Manny Pacquiao.

If the government is not above perpetrated nefarious activities, neither are corporations like hbo & a corrupt sport like boxing.

excellent post. especially the part about jermain taylor. this guy couldn't box worth a damn and they used him to upstage bernard who didn't fit into their agenda. styles make fights and against bernard, jermain has the perfect style to fool the public. if you know anything about boxing boxing this guy got beat and schooled both times, but what bernard does sometimes is so suttle, the average fan isn't even seeing it. so against a hyped up jermain with all his eye catching windmilling punches that make a lot of noise when they're blocked and a bunch of biased commentary, it was easy to rob bernard. looking back and seeing what has happened to jermain, who in their right mind believes jermain taylor could outbox bernard hopkins for 12 rounds twice!!!!
