Hatton Willing To Rematch Tszyu, Options For Cotto and Corrales

IBF junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, fresh from his stunning victory over Kostya Tszyu, is willing to give Tszyu a rematch in Kostya's backyard of Australia. Hatton battered the former champion this past Saturday, making the veteran Tszyu retire on his stool prior to the start of the final round.

"I would fight him again. I've had a lot of cuts but I've not had too many really bad ones. I'm fresh for 39 fights." said Hatton

thats great. gentleman tszyu deserves a rematch if he wants one. although i was hopeing for a castillo or corrales/hatton fight first.

wow. a cotto/hatton. one of the few fights i would like to see happen in puerto rico. is cotto ready for this step up? abdulaev could give me more indication.

I think Cotto would provide some serious problems for Hatton to solve. A tough fight for Hatton, most definitely.


I think Hatton will beat Diego Corrales though. Hatton can hit with both hands. And Corrales hasn't got the greatest punch resistance.

He's a good enough and and probably has the range to keep Hatton at a distance if he elected to box in such a way. However, he does have a penchant for getting involved in toe to toe battles.

As exciting as he is for us to watch, I think that would cost him the fight against Ricky Hatton.

One must not forget that Diego also possesses a stern punch though. It's definitely a tough one to call.

I think Hatton has proved he deserves to be fighting at world level. He simply requires a few more defining fights against these high caliber opponents, which if he comes through will secure his place as one of the worlds best.

Ricky does have this desire to prove himself and those people that still consider him second rate do not know much about boxing.
