Edwin Valero will move forward with his planned trip to Cuba. He will spend a month in the country with his wife, their two children, trainer Mario Morales and adviser Segundo Lujano. He will train to get his body back into shape and spend additional time in a rehab center to overcome his alcohol problem. He was scheduled to leave on Friday but those plans got cut short after a minor traffic accident at 5am. There were no injuries but Valero was arrested, and later released, for leaving the scene. If i was a fighter I'd try to avoid scheduling any fights with him because of his issues outside of the ring. You could be going through a training camp while the fight is scheduled and the next thing you know, your money is going down the drain paying for training expenses for nothing after his ass ends up in jail or gets killed.
