  • Comments Thread For: Andre Berto-Carlos Quintana: The Pre-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - Carlos Quintana is no Shane Mosley.

Even if Quintana were the same caliber of fighter, and he’s not, he most certainly is not the same level of name. There are certain older guys in any era any young titlist should want on their resume if they can get them. Mosley, reigning today as the WBA Welterweight beltholder and a three division champ in his career, is one of those older guys right now. [Click Here To Read More]

I agree 100%. Berto is a bit overrated and he definitely lost to Collazo. If Berto would of fought Cotto or Williams, he would of been Knocked the **** out as well. Mosley would of buried him too. I sincerely feel that Quintana will knock him out!!!

I like Berto, but this analysys is just preparing us for a robbery.

I just can't see Berto pressing and winning tonight. I believe Quintana will teach him a lesson tonight.

I am not overating Quintana, i just think Berto isn't a kind of a pressure fighter that can wear down Quintana. Berto has to box from the start.

If el Indio can withstand the early onslaught , I can see him picking apart berto in the middle rounds on to the end .he looks to have a stamina problem, so unk if he has improved that.Don't know if berto will take that route cuz quintana has been KO'd couple of times already and he mite want to end it early as possible.I can't see berto getting ko'd , quintana is a cagey veteran and hopefully if he goes to work he will get fair scorecards in fla. can't wait for this one.

i like berto but hes ducking luis collazo rematch and its annoying, hes fighting the easier puerto rican tonight. collazo gave him hell the first fight and would have done the same. quintana is a slow starter and berto throws flurries from round1, it might be a quick KO, but if quintana makes it to round 4 without being hurt he has a chance for a decision maybe.

I would pick Berto but he is so damn inconsistent. I dont know if Quintana will have much after drying out to fight at 147 again. From the pictures Ive seen he looks to have grown out of Welter so he could get his ass starched if he isnt physically ready to go.
