At 154? Cotto might be slower. Against Foreman (who is said to be as mobile as Pacquiao, which is probably not far from the truth), I wonder if the weight will be a bad thing. He was quite comfortable at WW. Remember, he came up from 140 already. Here's what he had to say about the catchweight of 145 for the Pacquiao fight:

    Pre-fight:

"Its no concern of mine whether it is 145 pounds or not," Cotto said.

"That is the usual weight that we cut down to for the weigh in, and in the ring—on fight night—I will go up eight to 10 pounds, so actually during the fight I will weigh around 155," stated Cotto.

    Post-fight:

"I felt really good at that weight. It wasn't a problem for me."
Let's also factor in Cotto weighing in for Clottey at 146. Bearing all this in mind, he doesn't seem uncomfortable at WW at all. Super Welter is not the right division. Williams would hammer him for starters, as would Martinez. Terrible match-ups. Maybe he can prove me wrong, but at this stage of his career? I kinda doubt it. Cotto is typical of most fighters who've been through a considerable amount of wars and suffered heavy defeats. He's slowing down, his body is full grown already and the end of his career is closing in.

I think Cory would be looking to fight someone with the name recognition of Cotto seeing as he is or was going to fight K-9 on FNFs.
the problem with Cory Spinks is that he is not taking his career serious and hasn't done anything in years. His trainer has already quit on his because he claimed Spinks wasn't training hard, not taking his weight serious and a whole bunch of other stuff. Not just that, but him pulling outta the k9 fight was pretty much it for him as far as I'm concerned.

Guys, be prepare for ether the winner of Floyd-Mosley or a Margo rematch. Just giving you guys a heads up!
Honestly why would Cotto due Margo that favor? You know more than me, so I take your word for it....but I just can't understand that move (considering Cotto knows Toney cheated him).

2- Or Foreman is able to keep Cotto off balance by successfully boxing and counter punching on the outside.

If Cotto wouldn't have picked up Steward, I would have little doubt in my upset pick. Now, I'm not so sure, a good gameplan can change the dynamics of a fight. I do know that Foreman is bigger and faster, if he's stronger too, Cotto's ****ed with or without Steward.
Agree with this post, I think it's spot on.

Besides, Floyd Margo is his next best option. Cottto would get a 80-20 splt in his favor, plus the fight will be held in Puerto Rico if it happends.

                  LOL....

It would be 50/50 at least or 60/40 Tony.

                  Tony won the first fight.

Definitely. I'm sensing the upset though, I think Foreman is being overlooked big time. Stylistically he is not good for Cotto! He dwarfs Cotto at like 5'11, he's well-established at the weight, and is super quick on his feet.

I can't see what Cotto has that can seriously trouble Foreman. Cotto hits pretty hard but Foreman is used to taking punches from bigger guys already. As for Foreman's power, he doesn't appear to be a ****er (see his low KO ratio), but let's say he has slightly less power than the average 154lb'er -- it's probably still as hard-hitting as a decent Welter. If that's the case, it should be enough to get Cotto's respect. Foreman definitely doesn't prioritize power punches over boxing skills though, that's for sure.

When all's said and done, I hope Cotto does well. I have no bias in this fight at all, so good luck to both.
