Well, Cotto's strategy was working against PAC (ie: he was pummeling the body, wearing him down; Pac himself said it hurt like hell), but he suffers two flash knockdowns and then decided to run.

His corner did that to him. Had he kept it up, Pac would have lost a lot of zip and speed and would have slowed to a crawl.

Against Margo, Cotto flat-out boxed his face off for 6 rounds. The problem is, his corner never told him to clinch Margo so that he couldn't return fire. All it took was one clean swipe to the nose to bust it open.

Again, his corner gave him no help. So he stuck to a gameplan that was slowly eroding.

The fight with Clottey was just awkward, but Cotto did enough. The headbutt he suffered lead to everything. When people say Cotto looked bad, it's because he was continually wiping blood off of his face from a headbutt. It's the same thing Tyson went through twice against Holyfield.

There is little to no doubt in my mind Margarito cheated, I mean he got caught in his very next fight against a fighter who Cotto had already beaten, if Margarito beat Cotto fair and square why would he use illegal handwraps against a guy Cotto had already outclassed? Cotto beats Mosley and was looked at as a way harder task then Mosley but Marg only cheated against Mosley???? Plus even HBO aired the same looking wraps confiscated from him before the Mosley fight and after the Cotto fight. Not to mention Cotto was beating the **** out of Margarito till around round 7 when that plaster hardend and he started hitting Cotto with those cement gloves!!!!

well Margo fought Cotto in Nevada not Cali.

In Nevada the NSAC provides the gauze for the handwraps I don't think they would let him put a pad that was prepared in advance above his knuckles. I don't know why California lets fighters use their own knuckles pads in the first place. Its dumb.

Cotto lost to Margarito fare and square. Margo was showing his wraps after the fight. How do we know Cotto´s hands weren´t hiding something? I should have rephrased that, Cotto beat Mosley in a tough close fight but he still won. So you are telling me Margarito just cheated against Mosley a guy Cotto had already beaten but didn't cheat against a much bigger threat to the Tijuana Tornado in Miguel Cotto? I was a fan of both fighters going into the Cotto fight and was still a Margarito fan after the fight, until the cheating **** came out, I know Marg is some peoples Idol and it's hard for you to realize he cheated and has been cheating for years but at some point you will just have to wake up and realize he is a damn cheater. And I don't know how Cotto was down on the scorecards in that fight but yes he was but Cotto clearly won the first 6 rounds of that fight and then as I said Margs wraps hardened and the cast formed and the rest is history.
