Since Tito Trinidad was found with a similar substance before a fight he lost by knockout, and no one derides him for being a cheater, I don't think it's fair we're still talking about it.

Looks like it might of been blown a bit outta proportion, although i guess cheating is cheating no matter how significant.

This whole **** did get blown out of proportion. All that was found was that capatillo his trainer applied a gauze pad that had been previously used in the gym by another fighter. No illegal chemical substance was found.

Capatillo says it was an accident and the pads just got mixed up in his bag. Regardless he SHOULD have been banned. But not margarito, he did nothing wrong.

In my opinion margarito is being made a scapegoat and the commission are using him to make a point. I dont believe he would have received a 1 year suspension if he was american. It's a shame because he is a great fighter and a model professional who never disrespects any fighter. He was a true champion who made it the hard way turning pro at 15 losing 2 of his first 6 fights and i hope he gets his belt back. VIVA ANTONIO MARGARITO!!

Watch youtube nearly EVERY boxer says he should NOT have been banned.

I can see what your saying about it being blown outta proportion but i dont get how Margarito did not know about it, there are two reasons why i say that, if he really did'nt know anything about them and got banned would he not of gone ape **** at Capatillo for jeopardizing his career and getting him banned? also, how are you gonna sit there getting your hands wrapped and not know when you actually watching/looking at them being wrapped?

Capetillo was like a father to him. Hard to accept your father doing this to you.

second part. There are tons of fighters who admit they do not pay attention to what is going on their hands. I mean cmon we have all seen guys with their Ipods on talking to their team while a trainer wraps their hands. Shane himself admitted he tunes everything out turns on his ipod and focuses on the fight solely

so should Shane know too? because he essentially admitted to the same thing
