        I think if a boxer is knocked over from a punch and is held up by the ropes then its supposed to be counted as a knockdown.

            Yes, the ropes held him up, thats a knockdown. Referees often miss those kind of knockdowns.

            Of course the bias commentators ain't gonna say **** about it.

                No it shouldn't. He knew where he was in the ring, he used the ropes on purpose.

                  The ropes probably did keep him up. However most referees dismiss it as a slip when this happens especially when the fighter isn't hurt at all.

                    Why Yes. Yes he should.
                    As should Ali V Foreman. Ali was knocked down hundreds of times in that fight.
                    Foreman used what I like to call the old 'rope-a-dope' on Ali by knocking him down on the ropes for almost the entire fight.
