Take a minute to remember the great Roy Jones Jr.

Here is a classic clip of the Great Roy Jones Jr. after his defeat of Griffin.

Roy was a class act, a great showman, a phenomenal boxer, and a great champion. Roy really was an all around good person and watching this video makes me sad that there isn't anybody like Roy in the game right now.

I wouldn't take anything away from Bernard, he is an accomplished champion and a certain ATG.

You can't hold the last fight against either of them, as they have families to provide for and this is what they do.

I just consider it an exhibition and I do not believe it did anything to hurt, or heighten either career.

After my friend and I watched Jones/Hopkins2, we decided to watch of few of Roys earlier fights.

Roy hypnotizes his opponents with his body movement. They never see the punch coming.

          Never a textbook boxer.

He was like a boxing "magician/sleight of hand artist".

Who knows if we'll ever see someone on that level again.

this is the one thing that I dislike about roy, he pretty much admits in this interview that he doesn't like finishing his opponents. his opponents try to hurt him so why wouldn't he do the same? pretty ****** if you ask me.

            still my fave boxer though.

I think its safe to say that he was a one of a kind fighter and we will never see another fighter with the same level of skill, natural reflexes and overall fighting ability.

There is no doubt in my mind that at any point in Bernards career could he beat Roy Jones Jr in his prime.

Roy would give Ray Leonard, Hagler and Monzon hell.

One of the best in his prime. A true warrior and a great ring entertainer.

He doesn't admit he doesn't like finishing his opponents. What I heard is a guy who has respect for his opponent, and although he would have killed the guy had it not been for the 3rd man in the ring, he still had respect and doesn't want to be that kind of fighter.

What he was saying is people backed him into a corner saying he wasn't p4p number 1, and he doesn't want to destroy his fellow boxer and ruin his career just to prove a point, but he did what he had to do.

Roy is a good man who cares about the sport, and never in his life did he do anything to harm the sport, which is what I've been seeing on here lately.

I just wanted everybody to forget about last week and have a look at the Great Roy Jones in his prime and remember what kind of man he was - A good man and a great champion - That's the Roy we all need to remember and think about when we think of the great champions of time's past.

Long live the Great Roy Jones Jr.

All the current bull**** is just temporary.

Roy's legacy is sealed. It was sealed when he was voted fighter of the 90s, when he won titles from 160 through to HW, when he dominated the sport as one of the most exciting fighters of all time.
