Mayweather could have made that fight happen ANYTIME he wanted after he fought DLH...

    but............................

    he retired..

When Larry Merchant asked him about fighting Miguel Cotto..his only response was.."I'll retire from boxing, before boxing retires me"....

When Max Kellerman asked Cotto about fighting Mayweather...Cotto's response was.."I want to fight the best and big names out there..if Mayweather wants to fight...he knows where to find me.."...

Mayweather's response to that was..."...... *crickets*....."

People pay to see floyd lose and once thats achieved, floyd might as well retire. his "0" is the only thing that keeps him a draw.
cotto had his fan base before pac.

After Pac-Cotto sells 1.2M he states “ I didn’t have a dance partner.” (against JMM) --- Why the fuuck didn’t you fight Cotto, Floyd??? JMM aint a draw, Cotto aint a draw. OK, lets go for the LW and blow him up to 144 and cheat the midget on weight.
we all know though so its cool.

surely its one of the conerstones of all knowledge that floyd mayweather is a coward??..

Mayweather has said Cotto wasn't a draw years ago, he also said Margarito and Paul Williams wasn't. So rumor goes it he is eyeing M. Hatton should he get by Mosley. Does this seem right to you?

Household name? Only in Puerto Rico (because he's the best fighter in a country that loves boxing) and the Philippines (because of Pac). I wouldn't even say Pacquiao is a household name in the US. I know plenty of people who don't know who he is.
