I don't really like the idea of fighters dropping out of the super 6 if they haven't been eliminated (JT gets a pass because of the health issue)....
If Kessler loses to froch, should he retract himself from the super six tourny?

Kessler is coming close to health issues, he had a war against Calzaghe(Kesslers face was busted up at the end of that fight), he got man-handle by Ward(Kesslers face got busted up in that fight too). Kessler is taking alot of abuse on his body, sure he hasn't been brutally KO'd. But theirs only so much the body can take.Comment

No, but he's got no chance of winning it if he lost to Froch. I don't get the disrespect to Froch around here. He's not that skillful but he's not a **** fighter. The guy is a tough pressure hitter who won't stop coming. I won't be surprised if he handles Kessler.Comment

No because if he can stop Green, he pretty much gets himself into the finals if Dirrell loses to Ward (which will probably happen). The worst thing to do is pull out, because you automatically take a huge step back since all the great fighters are tied up in the super 6. If he loses to Froch and stops Green, then he automatically has a shot at an elite fighter (possible a belt involved also).Comment

It depends on how he losses but I don't think so. I still think he could beat Allan Green. And, that is who he is fighting after Froch.Comment

You are both right imo, their styles match up perfectly for each other. Even though Froch likes to think himself the slick boxer he is really mostly a brawler, and Kessler, well hes not the kind of guy to go backwards too often. Kessler has better basic boxing skills then Froch but Froch is more awkward.
Neither fighter's defence is great but Frochs is terrible, so Im expecting Kessler to land alot of straight rights, and I expect Froch to land a fair few wide hooks from awkward angles.
Either way this fight has potential to be one of the best fights of the tourney imo.
