so he fought 2 good names at 140 in holt and maybe witter. But peterson, campbell, and old cherry. really? Nevermind that campbell and peterson ain't never proven nothing at 140.

the peterson win was a good win though, but he still hadn't done nothign at 140 priori too that. The alexander fight is perfect now especially if u gon fight at 140. I gave him slack because he was gon fight at 147 for HBO debut, but Maidana the world prospect beater...c'mon son!

Obviously Khan's camp does not have confidence in him. It still doesn't change the fact that this fight would have happened if Maidana didn't accept step aside money. If Khan was my fighter I would put him against Maidana in a second, because I believe it is an easy fight for Khan.

there's no guarantee the fight wouldve happened. GBP was committed to not putting khan in the ring with maidana....and for good reason.
they wouldve found another way to maneuver khan.

becuz its clear that those 2 are the cream of the crop in that division and it wouldnt make sense financially for that fight to be made next.
let them continue to build their names and resumes. the fight could be HUGE in the future.

ain't nobody else for them to fight. i mean u said it yourself, they are the 2 best in the division...there is no doubt of that so let's find out who the best in the division.

The time is now, the $$$ fight won't be there until later on in another division.

Devon just had his showcase fight. I think this would a great build up for a Bradley/Alexander bout hopefully before 2010 ends.

you dont get it.
a bradley/alexander fight next wouldnt generate enough money to be worth the risk for EITHER fighter. whereas in the future it could maybe end up on PPV if they both take care of their business as expected.

W.B.A don't mess around with mandatories. Khan would have had to fight Maidana or drop his belt. No wonder Maidana accepted step-aside money. I wouldn't want to fight Khan either.
