BoxingScene.com has been advised by several strong sources that an agreement was reached for Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11KOS) to defend his WBO junior welterweight title against Marcos Maidana (28-1, 27KOs), the WBA's interim-champion, on June 19 with HBO televising. The venue is being finalized and should be revealed in the next couple of days. [Click Here To Read More]
bradley is avoiding the great Devon. If he gon fight at 140, why not fight Alexander???
khan has a belt. he should act like it.
if he still wanted to be treated like a prospect he shouldnt have gone after a belt. none of this "stepping up in class talk."
Let's forget about the belt for a minute. The fact is, he would have been fighting Maidana instead of Mallignaggi, if Maidana didn't accept step aside money. It's both Khan's and Maidana's fault the fight didn't materialise.
I was kind of looking forward II watching Alexander/Maidana my fav 140 pounders. I was also looking forward to watching Bradley/Abregu, Abregu is not a pushover. Oh well ...
I'm all for argument and debate, but that comment was lousy. Khan is stepping up against Mallignaggi. You can't go from fighting a c class fighter in Salita to fighting brawlers with 90% KO ratios on your American debut. Mallignaggi is a good fight for Khan and a win would allow him to step up in class again.
I'm sure that's a risky fight for Khan there.... I mean Malignaggi's 10% KO ratio is devastating.

let's NOT forget about the belt.
why offer step aside money in the first place if you have confidence in your fighter, who is BTW, a champ in the division and would be fighting a guy who lost to kotelnik??
