Arthur Abraham's third fight in Showtime's Super Six Boxing Classic will come against WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch on August 21 in Nottingham, England. Froch has yet to complete his second stage fight, which takes place on April 24 in Denmark against Abraham's stablemate Mikkel Kessler. [Click Here To Read More]
...insinuating Arthur was "hurt"
by that flash knockdown where he was basically pushed down
when he was off balance. Maybe his feelings were hurt, but
that's all.
And Arthur's chin is literally solid steel -- it ain't disintegrating.
Yes, that's what happened. But some people just like saying "Abraham was down" and ignore the details.
Hurt?
Are you kidding me?
Dirrell put on a clinic, but there was no way AA was hurt.
Dirrell was more hurt b4 the DQ than AA. He was already shakey and everyone saw a KO coming, even if it ended up being a DQ
Ok. Oklahoma is rubbish as fightlocation. There's only circus fights there.
Since when did Shaw's words go by as law?
Let's make a bet regarding the location shall we?
My 500K on it being in Oakland vs. your 500K on it being in Detroit?
I'll bet on it not being in Oakland. I don't think even Shaw really wants to come back to Detroit either considering the lack of proper medical attention to Dirrell immediately after the DQ.
I think it will be at either MSG or in Las Vegas.
Detroit would probably be the 3rd choice and I think hell will freeze over before Ward gets a 3rd fight in his hometown. Had Dirrell lost to Abraham then maybe the fight would be better served in Oakland but since that's not the case and he has already traveled to England there is no way anyone is going to be sympathetic to Goosen and Ward when it comes to choosing venue.
Wouldn't really have an issue with this, because it would mean that the chances of Andre Ward having another fight in his backyard would be slim.
It would be very very interesting to see Andre Ward fighting Abraham in Germany.
Idk about anything else, but I want to see Abraham fight here against Froch in Los Angeles. I was so excited to finally see him fight in person here on the west coast till Dirrells injury, but what can you do. We dont get enough fights down here
At least we will have the Darchinyan v. Donaire rematch here.

Yeah especially since the last fights they've had here were Hopkins-Ornelas and Arreola-Klitschko and more recently Ortiz at Club Nokia. Other than the ESPN Friday Night Fights in Glendale, they would be nothing I'd pay to go see.
We need some exciting fights and atmosphere. Having Abraham or Darchinyan here would certainly provide that. Hell even if it's in Anaheim at the Honda Center or the more popular Agua Caliente Casino near Palm Springs I'd still drive there. They would make serious money on bringing those two out here more often soon.
