Are chins getting worse by the generation?

If you look at veterans like Mosley, De La Hoya, and even a slightly younger Mayweather, they're never dropped, wobbled, KO'ed unless its by a top tier opponent like Vernon Forrest or B-Hop. Even in their prospect years they stayed on their feet. However if you look at the younger fighters like Chad Dawson, Andre Berto, David Haye, Shawn Porter, Timothy Bradley, Andre Berto, Amir Khan, etc, despite their amazing skills,t hey have all kissed the canvas or came reeeally close before and fighters like Khan stayed there. Most of these knockdowns/knockouts were in the hands of bums. Heck, look at the Klitschkos. One has been dropped/KO'ed on multiple occasions while the other hasn't. Vitali's two stoppage losses were because of a broken hand and a bad cut. Wlad is the complete opposite.

Not really. There's always going to be fighters with great chins and others without them.

Fighters get dropped and hurt, it happens. Hell, pre-title Ali was dropped and hurt on more than one occasion. He still had a terrific chin. Ezzard Charles was criticized for his chin and he's an ATG. De La Hoya had some questions about his chin early on due to his spills to the canvas against Campanella and Valenzuela. As his career continued, those questions went away.

Yeah, there's a lot of unstopped veterans who've never quit in the face of adversity - Toney, Hopkins, Mosley, Wright, Marquez...

It impresses me big time to see an "0" next to any losses a guy may have had (what I call a "stoppage 0". It says a lot about their toughness.
