those are all extremely exceptional cases that Lebron is also put in. and if Kobe isn't allowed open shots than he should have a higher FG% from driving to the basket for easy layups. the greats take whatever they are given. Kobe chooses to force situations. decision making on shots is in every way apart of FG%.

lebron handles the ball the majority of time for his team.

it's rare for him to be given the ball at the last second of the 24 clock.

if anything he gives his teammates the ball to hurry a shot.


with the triangle offense the ball gets passed around. if nothing is available the ball is given to the star player with only a few seconds left to make something happen.

that's why the triangle offense needs a clutch shotmaker like a jordan or kobe to succeed.


being guarded on a jumper doesn't necessarily mean open path to the hoop.

kobe and lebron are different players with different styles.

when kobe is on the perimeter he gets doubled. lebron does not.
