The WBA has issued a ruling that will leave Gabriel Campillo as the number one contender in the light heavyweight rankings so he is able to get a title shot in the near future. The WBA's Intercontinental champion Vyacheslav Uzelkov (22-0, 14KOs) gets first crack at full champion Beibut Shumenov (9-1, 6KOs). Campillo lost a very controversial decision to Shumenov in their rematch earlier this year.
