Comments Thread For: Gabriel Campillo To Receive Top Ranking at Title Shot

The WBA has issued a ruling that will leave Gabriel Campillo as the number one contender in the light heavyweight rankings so he is able to get a title shot in the near future. The WBA's Intercontinental champion Vyacheslav Uzelkov (22-0, 14KOs) gets first crack at full champion Beibut Shumenov (9-1, 6KOs). Campillo lost a very controversial decision to Shumenov in their rematch earlier this year. The WBA rejected Campillo's petition for an immediate rematch but decided to leave him as the number one contender to allow him a chance to possibly fight the winner. [Click Here To Read More]

    There's three mandatory challengers now:
    1) Vyacheslav Uzelkov
    2) Gabriel Campillo
    3) Chris Henry

so the WBA ORDERS the rematch b/t cermeno/moreno but not campilllo/shumenov?

they must really want uzelkov to be the WBA champ.

WBA = World's Biggest Assclowns. Give Campillo a shot against Shumenov on neutral ground or, better yet, in Madrid, and see how it turns out.
