Why is marquez fighting diaz again?

I've been asking this myself. It's beyond me why there was a debate a couple nights ago of why JMM does not deserve to be in the top ten P4P. If you leave him in there, it's not fair to the other fighters who are on a better streak and have the desire to test themselves.

it sells, it was an exciting fight, and an easy fight for jmm. he has become what the rest of the so called "elites" have become.

I think its also a pointless crap fight but I also understand it from the standpoint that they dont want to move JMM way up in weight and then come all the way back down against a beast. The 2nd thing is that its clear Nacho thinks that the Floyd fight may have takened something out of JMM so he wants him to have an easy comeback fight.

The bottom line is that I think they are aiming for a Valero fight or something similar next so they just want a tuneup who they can make money against and then fight a big dog. I have no problem with that. You cant ask him to move up in weight, fight the best guy, get killed, then drop back down and fight a beast in his very 1st fight. That woiuld be a dangerous move

how is rematch to fight of the year pointless? its not as if JMM dominated diaz from bell to bell and knocked him out. he was losing on the cards at one point diaz was doing good alot of back n forth action marquez came on with strong counters and outworked diaz and stoepd him late. how do you not want to see a rematch? thats like barerra vs morales 3 not happening. you guys complain about boring fights and this and that yet when they make a rematch of FIGHT OF THE YEAR yall complain? i dont see whats wrong with that. yall jsut greedy and want to see him fight someone else. i knwo i cant wait to see this matchup. and hope its as good if better than the first

the fight isn't really significant any more so it seems kind of pointless(maybe JMM just wants an easy fight to get re-adjusted to lightweight

) I can't really complain though last years they had the FOTY and this one's probably going to be good too

No I'm not. A lot of people probably think I am because they think I hate Puerto Ricans. I think the current crop of Mexican fighters are on the skids. We'll see how Abner Mares does. Even if he loses to Perez I think he'll bounce back.

well I think most feel that Diaz just lost clearly to Nate, got KO by JMM, then lost 2 back to back fights to Paulie so he's kind of like damaged goods right now and needs to build himself back into a big fight
