frankly i dont understand why there hasnt been one thread created about mikey garcia. he's one of the best prospects in america and he absolutely blew out a durable vet in seconds. he's an intelligent, natural boxer/counter puncher but he hasnt even been able to put those skills on display becuz he's blowing away opponents with power punches.

sillakh did not impress me he had a guy living off a name for quite some time and it looked like he really didn't want to fight

Garcia is the goods I am friends with his brother and he says of all the brothers he didn't want to become a boxer so he started late (age 14)

Alvarado and to be honest Mora both showed little rust in their long layoffs

C Velasquez showed why he is head and shoulders above his brother in terms of talent

Lara did okay but IMO he has kind of stagnated

Omar Henry continued to shine

that bum went the distance with glen johnson his last fight. he's also drawn vs glen johnson and went the distance with eric harding and yusaf mack.
pretty big step up in comp for guy with only 11 fights and he destroyed him.

alvarado didnt show much rust at all. IMO, he showed even better technique from the last time i saw him. he looked like a different fighter...an even more dangerous fighter.

lara did what he was supposed to do vs a tough, granite chinned fighter. he won every single round and made it look easy.

the henry fight wasnt televised but the outcome was expected.

easy killer first off I never called the guy a bum but he does make his name off of the last name he carries AND looked like he wanted nothing more than to lay down for the night.

yeah he never really wanted to box in the first place so he started taking classes to graduate from the Police Academy

I agree I was so impressed with Mike I think he immediately gets back in the mix at 140 and with his size could be issues for a lot of fighters

I know what you are saying and dont really disagree but there are some things I saw that made me pause a bit from making him a can't miss champ
