The only guy I see being calzaghe is a roy jones in his prime. Calzaghe had outrageous boxing skills. far better than any super middle or light heavy. better boxing skills than jones but roy had superhuman power and speed which would give him an easy coasting decision over calzaghe.
ward, dirrel, dawson and others are chumps compared to calzaghe. in his biggest fights, hopkins, lacy, kessler and whatever else. they were so easy for joe he stated ****ing show boating and trying to take the piss which to be fair did get him knocked down twice. but in his prime calzaghe was the real deal, good power, great hand speed, great movement and so on.
however, as I said before, for everything calzaghe had in terms of physical abilities such as speed and power, jones just had more of it, maybe bar hand speed if I am being generousComment

There was never much style or skill to speak of with Calzaghe. His strengths are speed and stamina. He just throws a million punches (not really accurate punches) every round, and this is enough to win on points against slower opponents. He looked like he was swatting away a swarm of bees in the ring.Comment
