Boxingscene and the rest of the boxing world should black list this unprofessional *****. He is an embarrassment and this is not the first time he has pulled this. I agree with giving a guy a second chance but Guzman already had his and he showed no respect by coming in 9 ****ING LBS OVERWEIGHT. HE FOUGHT AT WELTER AGAINST A LIGHTWEIGHT IN A TITLE FIGHT.

wouldn't Hatton be one to go to for weight-loss advice? yes, he gains a ton of weight in between fights, but he has never come in overweight. he must be doing something right to lose all that weight everytime, except for the part where he gains so much weight in between fights, and losing it so fast. it seems he has done that too many times, and it caught up with him. it would be nice if he never ballooned up so much in between fights.

Funeka also came in the ring as a welterweight, just for the record.

Obviously funeka made weight though and guzman didn't but funeka rehydrates a lot of pounds

Guzman had hatton's trainer and weight loss expert, and still came in 9 fecking pounds overweight. If they cant get him to the scales at the right weight, no-one can.

guzman didn't even make 140 lbs. he is a disgrace to the sport. if he fights, it should be at 147 lbs.

ya but since Funeka had to kill himself and drain all that weight out to make the limit, which takes a lot out of fighters and Guzman didnt even try to make weight, if he was 1 pound over (which is still not acceptable at this level) i could understand it, at least he was close to the weight but when he weighed in it was TWO WEIGHT CLASSES over which as most people on this thread have already said is a DISGRACE to the sport, and as far as all you people criticizing Hatton for his weight, READ THE ****ING ARTICLE, yes Hatton is fat and out of shape in between fights, but when fight night rolls around he is always in prime condition, never once been over weight

Guzman doesn't deserve that win against Funeka. Funeka dehydrated all the way down to 135 and then rehydrated. Guzman didn't sacrifice anything. I hope HBO and Showtime leave him in the dust. Let him fight on ESPN a couple of times and make weight before considering him again. And Hatton is absolutely right. I was never a huge Hatton fan but he may have balloned up to 180 lbs between fights but never came in over weight. This is unlike Mayweather, who also didn't give two ****s about making weight against Marquez....

exactly!! funeka made the sacrifice, guzman didn't...otherwise,what would be the point of trying to make weight?...doesn't matter that both weighed almost the same, funeka went all the way down, guzman didn't therefore there was no chance he could have come in weak or anything like that
