Never implied you did. Just always figured in such a diverse area people would at least have a general idea of what other europeans who speak a different language are saying....or some other form of communication.
I am a filipino living in california. i speak fluent english, and spanish, and i have no problem understanding black people no matter how much rap slang they use or how much they slur their words.
