    Do you think having a beard in boxing helps with punch resistance at all

    I personally think it does, I punched myself when I have a slim beard and I feel less pain then I do when I shave off my slim-beard. Now, when I have no beard I feel more pain when taking a punch.

    Some Sanctioning Bodies have rules on how long or thick a beard can be because it can help cushion a blow.

        I don't think my beard is all that thick, My bead is a chinstrap type beard with a goatee. Well it was, but I decided to shave it off today since its going to be sunny tomorrow and I'm going to jog and try to get some sun.
