Paul Williams vs. Pavlik

Kelly Pavlik stops Paul Williams late. Pavlik would be cut badly around the 8th round in which Williams had thrown about 900 punches. Pavlik's big shots throughout the fight would have weakened Paul while punches landed on the bigger, stronger Pavlik won't have the same effect. Pavlik drops Williams with a straight right, Williams beats the count clearly on shaky legs. Pavlik then corners him and unleashes, Smoger steps in and waves the fight off.

i use to think so as well, but pavlik seems like a diffrent fighter after hopkins took his soul. gotta go with pwill.

He beat Margarito and Quintana at 147.
He stopped Phillips and picked up an interim belt at 154.
He dominated Wright then picked up a close win over Martinez at 160.

What has Floyd done to be at #2? Beat Hatton in 07' and Juan Lightweight Marquez in 09'?
What has Mosley done to be at #3? Beat Margarito over an year ago?

either pwill wins a wide decision or pavlik brutally kos him. i lean a little bit toward the latter happening late in the fight.

We'll have a much better idea after the Martinez fight where Pavlik is right now, but assuming he is still at the level he he been other than the Hopkins fight, I would pick Pavlik by late stoppage.
