This makes no sense , had he have still been promoting Joe he would have said something like;just the opposite , you know after years of boxing and all that training give him a break etc, Joe must have spent SOME training Frankie as I have him down as one of the fittest!

He's probably right, but Warren always has stuff to say about fighters who have left him. If Warren had still been his promoter until the end of his career, he would of been making excuses for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe was/is, undoubtedly, an excellent boxer, but you have to question his legacy when he went after Roy, and Bernard, when he could have fought Froch, Taylor, or Pavlik.
Going after Roy and Bernard after they had been beaten, three or four times between them, leaves a bad taste in the mouth, and smacks of cowardice.

i've never liked calzaghe never rated him as some do as the best super middleweight ever i give him his props he was undefeated and did fight some good fighters in his time
but his excuses were lame his promoting attempts were pathetic and quite frankly he can take as much coke as he likes i really couldn't give a toss
he doesn't set a good example for other fighters coming but hey who does
alot of my favourite fighters are drug cheats or women beaters lol
what a bitter *******. maybe calzaghe was bored, maybe he was unhappy he had to put part of his life behind him. itwho cares if he had a lot of free time before. it doesn't make it a great thing to do, but what else could he really say was the reason he was doing *******. who cares if joe gave up on promoting or he wasn't comitted to it? i don't think he owes it to anyone to be more commited to being a promoter, he did a pretty good job as a boxer. that's supposed to raise questions about his character? joe calzaghe's not publishing articles on boxingscene dissing Frank Warren for being a petty little ******* who managed to make a lot of money doing nothing other than setting up other people's fights and ripping them off.
calzaghe was living his own life, doing his own thing quietly until the UK's intrusive tabloids did an undercover investigation not to discover anything significant and uncover any kind of dirt or for some kind of greater good, but to drag a retired athlete down and trick the man into admitting he does ******* on camera so the world could know. seems strange, and frank's slimy ass was probably part of it. Calzaghe KO'ed your ass in court, they took his side. Move on.
