Not a big fan of B-Hop anymore but this is an gutsy move if it happens - Haye is younger, faster and has serious power - if this fight happens and B-Hop pulls it somehow off he should really be considered one of the greatest evers. It's not that Haye is such a great Heavyweight - but he is fast and younger, two thinks that Bernard can only handle hard and then he has this power... if this happens you can't deny Hopkins his balls - Bernard would also have to go probably 12 rounds, he is not an old hitter like Foreman was - so this would be unbelievable.

But I hope that he retires - same for Jones - it's really time

he's saying that even if haye wins, it would do nothing but stuff his pockets. If Haye's HW career is indeed going to be short like he's hinting, fighting a LHW at Heavyweight will do nothing for legacy

Haye doesn't want to lose to a 45 year old blown up heavyweight that would be an embarrassment to the heavyweight division

I'd like to see what Hopkins looks like after he bulks up 40 pounds with Mackie Shilstone.

That's why he shouldn't fight him in fact : what is the point in ko'ing a great former middleweight champion who has never fought north of 175 lbs and who is now 45 years old ?

No way Hopkins can put that much muscle mass on himself. AT 215, he would look like a fat ass, because it would have to be fat, and not only muscles to get there. I don't think they could get much higher than 185-190 pounds.

And since Hopkins already has stamina issues (as we could see in his fights aginst Calzaghe and Jones where he was acting to get rests), the additionnal weight would only hurt him. Hopkins should just retire.

I don't think Hopkins is only looking for a last payday. I believe he wants to tie Jones achievements by becoming HW champion, to get out of his shadow for good.
