Watch the post fight interviews. Both Haye and Booth were very critical of Haye's performance. Apparently Haye missed over four weeks of sparring due to a cut. Don't know if I believe that but if it's true then that could explain why Haye's defence was as poor as it was.

I can see you lack basic intelligence so I will try to explain something to you. David Haye is biracial, his father is a black Jamaican and is mother is a white English woman. This means Haye is equally white and black.

just read on BBC website that Haye will only fight 4 more time before he retires. Apparently made a promise to retire by age of 31, which is 18 months from now and he sounds pretty serious about that.
In a way that's good news, cause it means he'll have to fight one or both of the Klitschko brothers before he retires.Comment

I dont see much threat for the Klitschkos right now or in the future. They might dominate from now until years to come.Comment

I like Haye and think that apart from the Valuev fight he is a good fighter to watch and has brought some much needed excitement into a otherwise uninteresting division. That being said I give him little or no chance at beating either Klitschko.Comment

All American heavyweights are C-Level fighters then, I suppose.
They certainly can't be much more.
Aside from Klitschko's, Solis, Povetkin and erm...Tua, that's it. This bum-basher probably knocks out the rest of the heavyweight division in one-sided blast outs. Not his problem everyone else in that division is so ordinary.
We have guys like Sam Peter is a top-tenner and legitimate contender for god's sake.
At least Haye is entertaining.Comment

Why would Haye fight guys like Solis, Povetkin, Tua or Peter? They are much more dangerous than bums like Valuev, Ruiz, Meehan or Holyfield. Haye has a history of evading and running from dangerous opponents and instead going for the best risk/reward fights.
Haye makes the SAME money fighting bums as he would make fighting a more dangerous guy like Solis or Tua. So Haye sticks with the low risk fights.
Who was the most dangerous guy Haye ever fought? "Glassjaw" Macca? A 35 year old Mormeck? Or 38 year old Barrett? 36 year old circus freak act and feather-fisted Valuev? Or 38 year old Ruiz? Oh please. And now a rematch versus Valuev. Oh my God we've been waiting for that one!
Haye takes advantage of the fact that the dumb Brits DO NOT CARE about the quality of his opponents. Just like the dumb Germans don't mind the Klits bash bums in German soccer stadiums.Comment

Ruiz was a mandatory, Mormeck was 'the man' at Cruiserweight, Valuev was the champ (of sorts) And Haye fought the last two in Paris and Nuremburg respectively)...Macca was a money fight in Britain. Barrett was a first test at a new weight.
You can qualify all of Haye's fights. He's not fighting Albert Sosnowski, Ray Austin, Kevin Johnson, Hasim Rahman. Sorry, but the heavyweight division is ****, if Haye is not fighting a Klitschko then you're going to be disappointed. Ruiz and Valuev aren't the best but somehow they are at the top of that division.Comment

I agree with you. But two factsYou can qualify all of Haye's fights. He's not fighting Albert Sosnowski, Ray Austin, Kevin Johnson, Hasim Rahman. 1. It seems the Klits were more than ready to fight Haye. So his criticism that they are "unwilling to fight good fighters" is unjustified IMO. I consider Haye the best fighter next to the brothers and the Klits were willing to fight him. Just another nail in the coffin of the "Klits do not want to fight good fighters" theory.
2. Not the Klits fault that the other fighters are not coming into the ring in their best shape and conditioning. My point is just that the Klits appear to be taking the best AVAILABLE opponents. Which of the available fighters have the Klits willingly omitted?
To say Haye fights amazing opponents and the Klits just handpick bums is not only unfair, it is completely wrong. If anything the opposite is true. Haye's opponents have been mediocre at best. Good enough to make money, yes. But not good enough to justify his trash talking.
On a side note, I have read Vitali interviews in the last 4 weeks where he repeatedly stated he is ready and willing to fight Haye any time at Wembley's stadium. Haye should just call him and tell him date and time.
Interestingly, Haye doesn't mention that much. He talks more about how "boring" the Klits are and how "terribly out of shape" their opposition is, but why doesn't he get a fight with Vitali done? Whenever it comes down to it, Haye remains su****iously silent.Last edited by maverock; 04-06-2010, 06:48 AM.Comment
