On another note, for those fans who don't appreciate the boxing science and want to get Gatti-Ward type of fights every time, otherwise "it's boring", check the video out. Then go watch MMA because at least it's safer. The reason it's safer is very simple. Our brain is prepared to take on severe impacts for brief moments, and that's MMA. Boxing, on the other hand, is about continuously hitting the head and our brain isn't designed for that sort of trauma. IF Gatti or Ward has Benn's or McClellan's type of power, they would probably be seriously injured in any of their fights, the fights fans loved so much.

The blood clot had started after round 2, McClellan had told his team that he wanted to stop fighting because he felt something was wrong, his team talked him into continuing. By round 6 he said he wanted to quit, because he knew something was seriously wrong, he trainer said to him "Go out there and die."

He was already injured before the fight as well, he had been complaining about headaches and naseua after the first Jackson fight

One question though, was Nigel Benn on some PED or something?

I mean coz i see Floyd's name and better testing mentioned. Why is that?

Sorry if i missed out on something...
Don't think he was. Just saying, in a sport where that sort of **** can happen, we need to make sure it doesn't happen, specially illegally. Better reffing, better testing, fewer rounds maybe... Everything possible.

**** me two times the fighter wanted to go and his corner let him stay, i feel so much more upset now

at least things have changed since then, there will be no chance a corner would tell a fighter to continue if their fighter said there was something wrong

No doubt Don King has helped out with some cash flow. (Yeah Right)

                This a sad story.

After the fight King had someone break into McClellan's hotel room and steal McClellan's copy of the contract. The original contract stated that McClellan was to be paid 450K, it was substituted with a contract paying him 75K
